Charles "Chuck" James Smith, Jr. 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by his family, at Falkville Health Care Center.

Born in Hartselle, Alabama, on February 25, 1960, Chuck was the beloved son of Charles and Corene Smith.

Throughout his life, he was known for his dedication to others as a pastor, counselor, and friend. Chuck's generous spirit and deep compassion for people touched the lives of many. He was a devoted servant of the Lord, sharing His light and love with all who crossed his path. Chuck was a loyal husband and father, known for his unwavering support, love and care. His kind-hearted nature and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Smith, his mother- Corene Buchanan, and sons- David and Dustin Smith.

Survivors include:

his Wife - Janet "Jan" Carol Wilhite Smith,

Daughter - Haley Davis (John),

Granddaughters - Finnley and Maisyn Hollan and Layla Davis,

Brother - Chris Smith (Kim),

Sister - Terri Woods (Stan),

and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished deeply.

At this time, there will be no memorial services.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Morgan Baptist Association Ministerial Care.
