A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Cecil Lewter, 70, will be Friday, March 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Athens City Cemetery with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No Public Visitation is scheduled.

Mr. Lewter passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at River City Center.  He was born August 17, 1955, in Joliet, Illinois, to Floyd Lewter and Elsie Lee Reeves Lewter Ricks.

He was employed by Valley Rubber Products, prior to his retirement. He was a beloved husband and father, who cared for all his family and friends. He was a generous, kind, soul and was always friendly and compassionate to all he met.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Diane Lewter, and parents- Floyd Lewter and Elsie Reeves Ricks and step-father- Bill Ricks.

Survivors include

Sons - Allen Joshua Lewter (Ciara),
Christopher Shane Lewter, and
David Roy Terry (Meagan),

Daughter - Catina Diane Black (Shannon),

Brothers- Hal Lewter and
Dennis Lewter,

Sisters- Karen Murphy and
Jan Lewter

Seventeen Grandchildren and
Four Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Allen Lewter, David Terry, Dalton Terry, Jaxon Terry, Brody Black, and Jayten Terry.
