A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Carolyn R. Martin, 89, will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 3:30 PM at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Rev. Mike Pope officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home

Mrs. Martin died on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at St. Vincent's Hospital. She was born October 9, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to Adolph Rausa and Carrie Anderson Rausa.

She was a longtime member of Hartselle Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She loved to travel, enjoyed being in the Red Hat Society, loved her monthly meetings with her School Class, and enjoyed reading. She also won the competition of the naming of, Uncle Hershel Way, at Cracker Barrel. She was employed as a receptionist for Sonoco Products and Baker Industries, prior to her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 51 years, Bobby Martin, a daughter Barbara Martin Nichols, and her parents.

Survivors include

Son - Robert C. Martin

Daughter - Janis Martin Harris (Dan)

Grand Child - Matthew Walton Harris

Pallbearers will be Jim Peck, Robert C. Martin, James Nichols, Jack Templeton, David Burleson, Brody Roberts and Ron Bean.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to the Humane Society.
