Funeral service for Carolyn Brown Burns, 83, will be Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lynn Harvel officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burns passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at her residence.  She was born September 14, 1942, in Morgan County, to Woodrow Brown, Sr. and Ethel Gwendolen McGhee Brown.

She was employed by the Hartselle City School System as a Cafeteria Worker, prior to  her retirement. She also formerly worked for Hartselle Hospital as a Physical Therapist, and a Private Caregiver.

Preceding her in death were her husband- Dr. Jerry Burns, a son- Anthony Burns and her parents.

Survivors include

Daughter - Maria Sandlin,

Son - Jeff Burns,

Four Grandchildren and

One Great Grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Burns, Bly Sandlin, Steve Long, Timmy Blackwood, Jessica Burns and Jesstina Simpson.
