A Memorial service for Carol Owens, 76, will be Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wally Blackman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Owens passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at UAB Hospital.  She was born August 24, 1949, in Tennessee,  to George D. Smith and Virginia Irma McCutcheon Smith.

She was employed by the Missile and Space Intelligence Center, as an Intelligence Research Specialist, prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband- Pete Owens, and brothers- Roger Smith and Steve Smith.

Survivors include

Sons - Brandon Owens (Tracy), and
Jason Owens,

Daughter - Page Grimes (Eric),

Brother - Alan Smith (Kathy), and
Kenneth Smith (Carol),

Grand Child - Courtney Williams (Chase),

Two Great Grandchildren - Tyson Green and Elodie Williams.
