Funeral service for Carlla Grubbs Hooper age 77 of Huntsville will be Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 1:00pm at Union Church of Christ in Somerville with burial in the Antioch Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will from 11:30am until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.

Mrs. Hooper, who was born January 5, 1948, in Somerville, Alabama to Max Cicero Grubbs and Dorothy Alice Walker Grubbs, died on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital.

She retired from NASA where she worked as a secretary, attended the Mayfair Church of Christ and the Farley Church of Christ in Huntsville where she enjoyed helping people and being involved in the ministries of the Church. She was a devoted wife and has been the primary caregiver for her husband and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
