Funeral for Brigitte Gust, 93 of Hartselle will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 12:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Decatur with Pastor Aaron Kretzschmar officiating. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Gust passed away Monday, April 21st at Summerford Health and Rehab in Falkville. She was born July 26, 1931, in Kolberg, Germany, to Gerhard and Hedwig Holz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johann "Joe" Gust, her parents, and her three sons, Dieter, Norbert, and John.

She was a retired baker. During retirement, she could be seen working in her garden or flower beds. She was a football fan, especially Alabama and Green Bay Packer football. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family who she loved dearly.

Survivors include her daughter Heidi Holder, of Hartselle, two daughter-in-law's, Patricia Gust,of Fond du Lac, WI and Barbara Gust, of Cudahy, WI, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Gust, Shawn Holder, Riley Dehnel, Aaron Webber, Jim Hughes and Bruce Asher.
