Funeral service for Bretha L. Bauer-Smith, 64, will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Miss Bauer-Smith died on Monday, January 5, 2026 at her residence.  She was born November 16, 1961, in Morgan County,  to Robert Eli Smith, Sr. and Nellie Jean Brown Smith.

She was employed as an in Home Care Giver with Home Instead, prior to her passing. She gave assistance to many individuals.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was an Alabama Fan. She was a graduate of Falkville High School.

Survivors include

Daughter - Amber Muhammad (Jamar),

Brother - Robert Smith (Lori),

Sisters - Jeannie Brown (Jeff), and
Letha Walker,

Two Grandsons - Koltyn Hill and Elijah Muhammad

Pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Robert Smith, Zach Tanner, Joseph Brown, Tyler Smith, and Nick Brown.
