A Graveside Funeral service and Interment  for Billy Wayne Hargett, 80, will be Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Tom Campbell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Hargett died on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at his residence.  He was born July 17, 1944, in Morgan County,  to Clarris Aubrey Hargett, Sr. and Louie Elizabeth Hames Hargett.

He was employed by Air Gas Company, as a Filling Room Operator, prior to his retirement. He was a wonderful husband, son, step-father and grandfather, who will be missed by those who loved and knew him. Preceding him in death were his parents and a step-son: Randy Logan.

Survivors include:

his Wife of 38 years - Janice Taylor Hargett, Hartselle, AL,

a Step-Son - Joe Logan (Stoshia), Hartselle, AL,

and two Grandchildren - Sarah Alber (Tommy) and William Logan

Pallbearers will be Macky Vest, Jimmy Owens, Curtis Sanders, Troy Taylor, William Logan and Tommy Alber.
