Funeral Service for Betty J. Vest, 96, of Hartselle, AL. will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Vest was born on September 29, 1929, in Morgan County, to John and Etta Powell. She passed away peacefully at Summerford Nursing Home on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Betty was a self-employed beautician prior to retirement. She was a highly active member of The American Legion, VFW, and other groups, including sewing and knitting clubs. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed traveling with her husband Felix before he passed away.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Felix Vest; her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and her son in law- John Minges.

Survivors include:

Daughter- Joetta Minges

Granddaughters- Jennifer Minges Campbell (Alan) and Sara Oubre (Michael)

Great Grandchildren- John Alexander Campbell, Madeline Oubre, and Jacob Oubre.
