Funeral service for Dewel Coleman (D.C.) Lott, 91, will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ruben M. Williams officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Baptist Church at Crane Hill in Cullman County. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Lott died, peacefully at his home, on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 6, 1927, in Cullman County to George Arthur Lott and Flossie Arrilla Calvert Lott. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartselle, where he served as an ordained deacon. Mr. Lott served his country and is now a veteran of the United States Army after serving in Seoul, Korea. He was a graduate of Auburn University with his B.S. degree in 1951 and M.S. degree in 1958 and was a graduate of A & M University with an A.A. degree. He was a Vocational/Agribusiness instructor for 38 1/2 years at Semmes High School in Mobile County, Cotaco High School and A.P Brewer High School in Morgan County. He enjoyed researching and recording his family histories.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Elmira Wilson and husband, Clyde and Thersia Murphree and her husband, Ellard.

Jennelle Lott Yancey (Don)
Lola Lott Blevins (Christal)
Ten Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Jody Vinzant, Nathan Lott, Matthew Vinzant, Stephen Yancey, Kevin Yancey and Ashlee Vinzant Chunn.
