Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead
Our services include: staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filling of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation of obituary notice; and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, vault companies, ad others as required. Also included in this charge overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, and secretarial and administrative expenses.
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing.
